I’ve heard solar, wind, and wave energy farming…and of course…Dave is right since (but sort of cheated). This is oyster farming off the coast of Southern France – the entire bay was full of these structures. It was crazy business and of course every restaurant was an oyster restaurant.
Oysters – maybe near Point Reyes. Which would make them Hog Island Oysters. Mmmm…, best are the little Kumimotos, with a touch of tabasco, and a nice sharp bubbly

It looks like little docks and reminds me of a place in Bali where they did fish farming.
Based on our conversation I’m going to guess these are these strange oyster farms in the South of France you were telling me about.
I’d guess it’s a mussel farm or similar type shellfish?
